With manager Mick McCarthy making Anthony Wordsworth available for loan or transfer recently, the club have now announced Rotherham United have taken him loan.

The deal is subject to Football League approval at this stage but that shouldn’t be a problem, and he has moved on a normal loan deal until January.

Having only appeared once for us this season from the substitutes bench, the former Colchester United player will now link up with teammate Paul Taylor and former colleagues Scott Loach, Paul Green and Frazer Richardson at the New York Stadium.

He has joined them in time to be in contention for his debut tomorrow when they face Millwall.
