Ipswich’s 2014/15 championship season gets underway with a game at Portman Road on Saturday night.

The sky sports cameras have come calling meaning that the game against Fulham, many peoples tip for an instant premier league return, will kick-off at 5:15pm.

Cameron Stewart (fractured jaw) will miss the game and the next month or more with the loss of Aaron Creswell felt for the first time in competitive action since he moved to West Ham United this summer.

Alex Henshall, Jonathan Parr and Bartosz Bialkowski have all arrived along with trialists Kevin Bru and Balint Bajner. Stephen Hunt is out with Parr, Tommy Smith and Paul Anderson are ‘slight doubts’.

David McGoldrick (knee ligament injury) is back but likely to start the season on the bench.

Club record signing Ross McCormack, Fulham paid £11m, should make his debut along with many others that arrived with Tim Hoogland, Kay Voser, Thomas Eisfeld and Konstantinos Stafylidis all primed to be involved.

How will Ipswich start the season? Ideally with a win but I’ll say it will be a draw….
