Defender Omar Sowunmi will join manager Mick McCarthy’s first team next season having impressed at U18 and U21 levels this season.
The youngster had put pen to paper on his first 12 month professional deal today, and he will now join fellow youngsters Ted Bishop and Darren McQueen in our first team set up in 2014-15.
The finer touches have to be put on the contract for it to be ratified but the deal should be rubber stamped within the next few days as the registration and the likes go through.
