No Bialkowski Deal Yet

Ipswich are continuing to search for another ‘keeper this summer but have so far failed to agree a deal with Bartosz Bialkowski or Stephen Henderson.

Part of the deal that took Aaron Cresswell to West Ham United could have included Henderson but an agree over wages couldn’t be agreed and the thought is that the premier league side will not allow the Irish ‘keeper to leave on loan again with just a quarter of his wages covered, all that Town will offer by all account?

A deal was apparently agreed with Notts County to bring in 27-year-old Bialkowski, with the league 1 side in need of getting one of their highest earners off the books, but in light of the £3.75m fee received for Cresswell it is reported in the EADT that the Magpies have now gone back on that agreement….

The Polish ‘keeper was free to leave on a free, with a year left on his contract, but they now want a fee but Ipswich are ‘standing firm’ it is said and want to stick to a prior agreed arrangement?

Shaun Derry insists that he wants to keep him at Meadow Lane but the Notts County boss also knows that ‘so much can happen’ ahead of a season, will he arrive though?
