Ipswich have been reunited with brewers, and former shirt sponsors, Greene King IPA in a new five-year sponsorship deal.

Greene King were shirt sponsors between 1995-2001 and then carried on a partnership from 2001-2009 with their name on the South Stand, before the 14-year association ended but a new five-year sponsorship deal was today announced.

As a result Greene King will become the clubs ‘official beer’ and take on the sponsorship of the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand once more. Revamping and renaming of the clubs bars to ’78 Bar’ and ’81 Bar’ after the FA cup and Uefa cup successes will also take place.

With no pun intended, honest, this new deal will ‘pump’ what is reported as a ‘substantial six-figure sum’ into the club.
