Ipswich reserves finished the game with ten men as they went down 4-1 to the Luton second string at Kenilworth Road.

Luton man Ian Roper scored the first, but in the wrong end on 25 minutes.

Bartosz Bialkowski, on loan from Southampton, was making his first appearance in an Ipswich shirt. However, his debut didn’t go quite to plan as he was shown a straight red card just two minutes into the second-half for handling the ball outside his area.

With a quarter of an hour remaining, Ian Henderson levelled for the home side. Minutes later, Ipswich scored in the wrong end through Tom Eastman, the Hatters 2-1 up at this point.

Further goals from Sam Barker and Scott Sinclair put a slight gloss on the scoreline for the crisis club.
