Chief Executive Derek Bowden is leaving his role at Ipswich Town at the end of the season after seven years at Portman Road.

Will Jim be the next man to go?

Bowden was instrumental in leading the club through many years of financial hardship, including administration, after joining Ipswich in 2002, before the Marcus Evans takeover in December 2007.

Owner Marcus Evans praised Bowden’s involvement at the club: ‘I am sure all fans connected to Ipswich Town Football Club will acknowledge the tremendous contribution Derek has made during his time in the post.

‘During a very difficult time for the business, he has shown outstanding loyalty and commitment and I, like all supporters and stakeholders in the club, would like to wish him every success with the other opportunities he is leaving to pursue.’
