Ipswich are expected to unveil a new signing at some point on Monday.
The EADT are reporting that the last part of the deal to bring the unnamed player to Portman Road is set to be tied up, with the player reportedly eager to start pre-season along with the rest of the squad.
Lee Martin from Man U is tipped to become Town’s third signing of the transfer window, having already completed deals for Troy Brown and Damien Delaney. The left midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a move to Ipswich throughout the summer, and will be well known to gaffer Roy Keane from his time at United.
Gary Johnson felt the wrath of Keano when the Robins boss told the media that he expected Martin to join the Blues.
With Luca Civelli out until the new year with a serious knee injury, Town need both cover for him and competition on the left for when he returns from injury.
However, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is someone completely different to Martin. Let’s wait and see…
