Phil Bardsley, you guessed it, of Sunderland has been linked with a move to Ipswich. Yawn!
I lost count many weeks ago as to how many of Roy Keane’s past or present Black Cats players have been mentioned in connection with a move to Ipswich, Bardsley is just one in a long line.
The right back is said have been allowed to leave the Stadium of Light by Steve Bruce, a former teammate of Keano and of course Alex’s father. Apparently he would rather link up with RK than join West Brom who have also been linked.
Do we need a right back? No, plenty of options in the Ipswich squad there and that is David Wright’s position no question. Alex Bruce can play there as can captain Gareth McAuley. Former Man Utd defender Bardsley can also play in the centre, but there would probably be plenty of players ahead of him in the pecking order.
