Right back David Wright picked up a rib injury in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Charlton.

To be on the safe side, the Ipswich medical team are sending him for a scan, with manager Roy Keane telling the club site that he hopes to know more once they get the results.

‘We’ll know more when Wrighty has a scan and obviously it’s a disappointment to pick up another injury,’ said Keano.

Unfortunately for the Blues, the treatment room appears to be pretty packed already, with a number of players doubtful for Friday night’s game against Real Valladolid: ‘The injuries are mounting up, with Lee Martin, Liam Trotter and Damien Delaney all missing the Charlton game, and they are touch and go for Friday against Real Valladolid.

‘Hopefully we will have a couple of them back and I think things will improve over the next week.’
