Ipswich Town will be back on Sky Sports in December after the broadcaster selected the Blues’ trip to Barnsley for live coverage.
The match at Oakwell was originally scheduled for 3:00pm on Saturday 10 December put has now been put back to the evening, kicking off at 5:20pm. It will be Town’s third televised match of the season, with the announcement made less than 48 hours after the Blues beat Coventry City in front of the Sky cameras on Monday evening.
Ipswich will be hoping for a better record against Barnsley this season than last year. The Tykes netted a last-minute equaliser to deny Paul Jewell’s side victory at Oakwell in February, whilst their previous meeting at Portman Road resulted in an infamous 3-1 defeat which spelled the beginning of the end for former boss Roy Keane.
