Walters Has No Intention Of Leaving

Jon Walters will be pulling on a Town shirt next season if he has his way.

Every transfer window the skipper is linked with a move away from the club, but every transfer window he remains at Portman Road and plans to still be at the club in September after fresh doubts were raised about his future.

Walters has sold his house and is now renting another property with his family, and he expects this is where the stories of him leaving Ipswich have come from.

He explained: “I think these stories may have started because I’m now renting a house in the town after selling mine, but this is because a proposed purchase broke down. As far as I know, I’ll be here next season – this is my plan.”
