They say you should put money where your mouth is, and I just have. I have had three different bets on Town, in order today to make my weekend complete! They are not huge wagers because football is a very unpredictable game and so too, of course, are the Blues!
People sometimes wonder why I write this kind of stuff. Am I a glutton for punishment? Well no, but I am not the kind of person to throw in the towel, but sadly, that is what a lot of supporters have done this season because they so desperately want Lambert out. As you know, I am not one of those and still believe we can turn around our season starting today!
You might call it fanciful optimism if you must, but we have to stop living in the past and instead start living in the here and now. Town does have a good squad which has primarily underperformed this season. This is about to change today at Shrewsbury and I firmly believe that the Blues will not only win but that Tory Parrott will break his duck and be on the scoresheet too!
I predict that Ipswich Town will win 1-3 and that we will end up on the fridges of the play-off places again. A Town win is around 3/1 with Unibet and William Hill, and if Troy Parrott scores anytime during the match, you can get odds of 13/5! If I get the score right, I can expect to collect another nice little earner at around 25/1, so there is still time to follow my advice if you are stupid or brave enough. I air on the side of brave, but you might be inclined to disagree!
So once again, here are my three bets for this afternoon. Town to win.Troy Parrott to score. Result: 1-3 to the Tractor Boys and a happy weekend for us all!
But what I did not see was a sudden postponement, and it is back to the drawing board now.
