Here at Vital Ipswich we really do want to find out what the Ipswich supporter really thinks? We are of course a broad church of opinions on all matters Town and this diversity helps of course to add colour to the debate.

I want to provoke you into action by finding out what is on your mind? Are you for example pleased with the way the club is performing under Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor and do you think our lack of purchasing power will destroy our hopes of promotion again this year?

Is drab football at Portman Road a relative rarity or too much of a common place occurrence under the Mick McCarthy regime? Is this why attendance figures continue to decline – or is it simply because we have been stuck in football purgatory for so long? What would it take to bring supporters back and does it rely more on results than performances or vice versa?

Should Paul Taylor have been sold? Why can`t our midfield score? Is Conor Sammon the answer to our prayers? Should the gaffer gamble with youth? So many questions I know but at the moment so few answers. We started the season promisingly but as we sit in 19th place in the table with just five points from five games, there is not a lot to get excited about so where do you think we will finish this season?

I have just taken over the editorship of Vital Ipswich and I know as a fan of many years, I always have an opinion and I am sure you do too so let me hear what you have to say! You may want to contribute with a blog or an article of your own because with no game for two weeks it leaves us with plenty of food for thought!

Next up is Fulham at Portman Road this Saturday and it is another game we really need to win. Mick says he can stomach a point all the time, providing we don`t lose. The trouble is that although the season has only just began we are already slipping back badly and if we are to stay in contention for the long haul then we certainly need a few wins in September. It certainly would be a start!
