The last time we were at Barnsley we 2-0 down at half-time after a length run of bad results and the writing seemed on the wall for Paul Jewell.

But Ipswich came back to win 5-3,and Jewell’s job was safe for another year.

There will be those hoping he has no such luck this time but the Blues are capable of winning.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Jewell told the club website: “They`ve had a fantastic win against Birmingham and like every team in this league they are capable of winning any match on their day.

“Saturday is another game though and we`ve got to stand up and be counted – we can`t be shrinking violets.

“We`ve just got to try and match them in all departments. It`s just the next game for us, but the longer you go without winning the harder it becomes to get that elusive victory.

“We`ve got to try and believe in our team and our strengths. We need to take our chances when they come along because we haven`t done that and that`s put added pressure on our defence.

“It`s easy to sit here and say it, but getting out there and being brave is another thing.”

Barnsley boss Keith Hill told the Sheffield Star: “Confidence can turn into arrogance and arrogance can turn into the blind, so we don`t want that to happen.

“We`ve got to guard against that, but training has gone great this week and there`s a buzz in the camp.

“But the players know what we expect from them and deserve all the plaudits they got for our victory over Birmingham.

Ipswich is a different challenge for us and no matter how well they`re playing, we`ll give them the upmost respect.”
