Huddersfield Town are interested in signing Ipswich duo Alan Lee and the star of pre-season so far Gary Roberts.

The Yorkshire club are said to be interested in a £700,000 bid for the two players, but it probably would take a bid of well over £1 million to tempt Ipswich to sell both players.

Ipswich have recently insisted that Alan Lee is not for sale, but it is thought that he will be let go at the right price having signed striker Kevin Lisbie on Friday. Billy Clarke however, could be that striker trimmed from the attacking department at Portman Road having been transfer-listed.

Roberts meanwhile has been transfer-listed at Town, but could change manager Jim Magilton’s mind after a sparkling pre-season so far. Last week, Roberts insisted he still had what it takes to make it at the Tractor Boys after a poor last season

Also, it is unlikely that either player will want to drop a league which would ultimately mean a drop in wages. Both are on quite expensive contracts at Ipswich.
