The championship season continues for Ipswich at the weekend, with them away.

Ipswich head to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on Reading looking to build on victory last weekend to start the league campaign.

Reading’s new signing Anton Ferdinand (fitness) isn’t expected to play yet with Hal Robson-Kanu, Danny Williams, Jem Karacan (all knee), Garath McCleary (back) and Danny Guthrie (calf) all out for the host.

Conor Sammon was signed on loan from Derby County and the striker could come in for an instant debut, although a place on the bench is more likely.

Mick McCarthy made plenty of changes for the league up defeat at Crawley town with David McGoldrick, Tommy Smith and Daryl Murphy in line to return.

Cameron Stewart (jaw) and Stephen Hunt (calf) remain absent.

Ipswich won the last meeting, at Portman Road, two-nil earlier in the year but you have to go back to March 2009 for our last win away, will this change tomorrow?
