Due to the early league cup exit Ipswich had a free midweek but it’s back to championship action again this weekend as we set off on our travels again.

Ipswich will be heading to the iPro Stadium, aka Pride Park, on Saturday afternoon to face Derby County.

Derby gave Ryan Shotton a midweek debut in the league cup and with him impressing by all accounts he could keep him place. Jake Buxton, Jamie Ward and John Eustace were all rested in the win over Charlton Athletic but could return.

We’ll be without Conor Sammon as he is ineligible to play against his parent club, who loaned him to us for the season. Cameron Stewart (jaw) and Stephen Hunt (calf) are also still absent.

Jonathan Parr, Kevin Bru and Alex Henshall are among the 16 fit first-team players Mick McCarthy can call upon and all will hope to start.

Just one defeat in the last seven meetings means that this is a fixture that we usually do well in.
