Plymouth To Double Transfer Record For Haynes

The Danny Haynes to Plymouth rumours are continuing with The Mirror reporting that the Pilgrims are to bid £1 million for him.

Swansea were previously linked along with Paul Sturrock’s men a couple of weeks ago. Haynes got just two goals last season, and they were both back in August against Leyton Orient in the Carling Cup first round. It was probably his worst season since breaking into the first-team under Joe Royle’s management.

Whether Plymouth will want to bid £1 million and double their transfer record remains to be seen, especially on a player that hasn’t fulfilled his potential in recent seasons.

But I would like to hold onto him – he does have big potential (still) and with a kick up the backside from Roy Keane then we may see a different player next season.
