Now For Brighton!

Another vital away win for the blues means that if Town win away at Brighton on Wednesday they could go top again!

I guess much depends on what Bournemouth do at Leeds United tomorrow night.

If they were to lose and Town to win on Wednesday, then the Tractor Boys would be top of the tree!

It has been like this for some weeks now and surely sooner or later The Cherries are going to drop some points again and we have to be ready to capitalize on it when it happens.

It seems highly unlikely that we will acquire the services of Billy Sharp though, it must be said.

The manager does not want to part with him and nor do the fans after the miraculous way in which Noel Hunt resurrected his career in no time at all when he left Leeds for Ipswich Town!

Lightening they say never strikes twice but in the case of Billy Sharp it could well do.

I am amazed to see how poorly he has performed in a Leeds shirt and the club is struggling both on and off the park at the moment.

Another team that is struggling surprisingly is our next opponents Brighton. They are level on points with Leeds and only three away from the drop zone.

Chris Hughton is bound to turn things around in the end though so let us hope it is not against us!

They fell to a single goal home defeat in their last match to Brentford at the weekend and points are vital for them too for entirely different reasons at the moment.

It will be interesting to see who Mick McCarthy picks for this one. I am sure if Cole Skuse is fit then he will play but it is in attack that he seems to have a nice headache at the moment.

Why risk an out of form David McGoldrick when he has other potentially fruitful options up front?

It would be decidedly cruel on Noel Hunt if he does not get a start after his two goals in the last match and we now we have a goal hungry Freddy Sears waiting in the wings and eager to get involved!

I would rest McGoldrick and keep the same attack as against Millwall.

It would also give Murphy and Hunt more time to gel as a partnership and it seems to make sound sense.

If he must use McGoldrick then leave him on the bench for now.
