Keith Andrews was left out of the Ipswich side that lost so agonisingly at Forest due to a broken nose.

The 31-year-old midfielder needed surgery to the injury picked up as the Republic qualified for Euro 2014 after drawing at home with Estonia 1-1.

Andrews scored in the 4-0 win at Estonia which set up the overall victory but Ipswich manager Jewell revealed he was not fit to play for his loan club.

Jewell said in the post match presser: ‘Hopefully we will have Keith back next week.’
