No Room For Crying Game

Blues keeper Richard Wright has said it is time for players to man up and not wallow in self pity.

Speaking after Town went down 3-2 for the third time in a row Wright made it clear only they could stop the slide down the table.

“We have to get it right – simple as that,” Wright said.
“It is no good us crying and feeling sorry for ourselves.
“We have to stand up like men. We have to stand up to be counted and be ready to go again Tuesday.”

After five straight defeats turning it around is simple, according to Wright.
“Grind a scruffy result out, simple as that,” he said. “Once you do that things will kick on.

“We all know we would like to play great football and all that but sometimes you have to grind it out, do the dirty things and get a result and that is what we have to do.”

And as for conceding so many goals so late Wright said the solution was also down to the basics.
“You have to keep doing what you believe in and focus on concentration levels throughout the whole game,” he explained.
“It was very disappointing that we were not able to hold on.

“We need to look at ourselves as individuals and work hard to put it right.
“A 2-2 would have been a good result but we have another game on Tuesday and put it right.
“We wouldn`t want to wait another week, or have an international break or anything like that.”
