An understandably chuffed Brian McDermott praised his side after they sucker-punched Ipswich with a knockout win.

“With the players we`ve got, we`re always capable of scoring goals and I`m absolutely delighted,” he said.

“We gave a goal away from a set-play, which was disappointing.
“We got back in the game and then gave another goal away, but it was a quality winner from Noel.
“It was a fantastic, team goal and he was very cool in a pressurised situation.

“We didn`t play well and I thought it was going to go against us, when we didn`t get the goal we needed in the first half.
“But we finished strongly, which is the most important period, and it gives us good momentum going into the next game against Peterborough.”

Influential left-back Ian Harte was once again instrumental in Town`s down-fall, he netted in the 3-1 win over us last season and was involved in Marcus Stewart getting sent off when playing against Leeds.
“He`s a fantastic deliverer of the ball and he`s been the same since he was young,” McDermott said.
“He`s a really important part of our squad and epitomises everything that`s good about football.”
