Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has denied reports that Aston Villa are set to move for the in-demand Danny Haynes but conceded he wouldn’t stand in his way should a top-flight club make an offer.

Haynes has been subject of interest from several other clubs such as Wigan, Portsmouth, Everton and West Ham this summer, but none have a made an offer as of yet.

However, Magilton feels that if the right bid were to come in for Haynes he would have give it due consideration.

Magilton told to the EADT: “As I have said before if the right bid came in and there was a chance for one of my youngsters to play in the top flight I would not stand in his way.

“But we have had no bids for Danny and if we do we will take it up from there. He remains very much part of my first team plans.”
