Ipswich Boss Jim Magilton has not given up on signing former player Tommy Miller from Sunderland.

Miller left the Blues in the summer of 2005 to join the then Premiership side, a club he supported as a boy.

It is believed new Black Cats boss Roy Keane has told the former Hartlepool man he has no future at the Stadium Of Light.

Magilton said, ‘Tommy is still a player who interests us.

‘He is not in the first team at the moment and we will keep an eye on the situation.

‘Something might still happen in January, if not sooner.’

Millers Sunderland contract expires at the end of the season, and it is believed he could be available on a free transfer.
