Haynes Swanning Off To Argyle?

Danny Haynes could be a summer target for Championship rivals Plymouth and Swansea.

The 21 year old has been used more and more as a wide midfielder in recent seasons, meaning his goal tally has virtually dried up. Last season, he only got two and that was in the same game against Leyton Orient way back in August in the Carling Cup.

It wasn’t long ago that Premiership clubs were said to be sniffing around him, but his value is likely to be much closer to £300,000 than the £3 million quoted last summer.

Plymouth and Swansea are both on the lookout for strikers, although he hasn’t played that position regularly for a while now.

Manager Roy Keane doesn’t like players with a bad attitude, and many think that Danny is sometimes too big for his boots. An exit could well be on the cards this summer, either on loan or permanently.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he were to leave on loan, we have no reason to sell up just yet and a successful spell at another club could help him find some form and improve his game because he is not going to do that when he is on the sidelines at Portman Road.
