No, Ipswich are not sending another player out on loan, but assistant manager John Gorman admits that new signing Luciano Civelli needs games to gain match fitness.
The 22-year-old played his first match in a Town shirt yesterday, as the reserves thrashed Colchester 9-2 at Playford Road.
Gorman said he was pleased to finally see the Argentine in an Ipswich shirt: ‘I was happy to see Luciano in an Ipswich shirt. He has a game under his belt and it is still early days.
‘Without having played a game for two months he is short of match fitness and needs to play in matches.’
The Blues assistant hinted that Civelli could feature at the weekend: ‘Luciano can be pleased with his start, and a decision will be made after training tomorrow on whether he will be included in the squad for Saturday’s home game against Blackpool.’
However, the likelihood of Civelli getting a game against the Seasiders is slim after appearing physically unfit against Colchester.
