On-loan striker Giovani dos Santos has been ruled out for ten days, meaning that he should be fit to play in Ipswich’s next game, against Sheffield United.
Gio was meant to be playing for Mexico this coming Saturday and next Wednesday, but has been ruled out of the World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Honduras due to the groin injury he picked up last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Watford.
The 19-year-old was assessed by the Mexican national side on Monday, who have since put a timescale on the injury.
The Blues travel to Bramall Lane on 4th April, with league football taking a back seat this weekend due to the international break.
