Steve Foley has lifted the lid on his ‘on-off’ move to rivals Norwich City, revealing his embarrassment at the situation and how Neil Adams has been ‘undermined’ from the off.

Academy coach Foley, in his second coaching spell with Ipswich, looked set to return to Carrow Road where he had previously worked for a decade with Needham Market (where Foley worked as head coach and combined that with his Ipswich role) going as far as releasing a statement that confirmed his Norwich move.

This become a will he won’t he saga, eventually resulting in a ‘he won’t’ so Needham then had to release another statement confirming the 60-year-old wasn’t going.

Foley told the Sun that he was ‘devastated and embarrassed’ not only for himself that this did not happen but Norwich boss Adams with Ipswich’s rivals coming across very poorly from the off following his appointment that left most less than impressed anyway.

If this is anything to go by it could be a long old season at Carrow Road next term you sense with Ipswich set to overtake their rivals again!
