Town young striker Dean Bowditch has signed for League 2 team Wycombe Wanderers on an intial one month loan with a view to it being extended to 3 months if all goes well

Dean who has struggled to live up the name he made for himself when he first broke into the Ipswich first team, will be looking to prove his talent whilst at the Causeway

Though he admits his form has not been great for the Tractorboys of late, it still seems strange that he has been left out of the first team squad even though the team have been having somewhat a mini injury crisis up front

Deano though is happy to get away from the club for a while to get his confidence back:

I wanted to get out because I wasn’t playing and when Wycombe came in I just felt it was good because they’re flying and the Gaffer sold the club to me really well’

‘More recently I’ve been struggling a bit and maybe that is something to do with my confidence. Eventually I had to say that I needed it back and I wanted to go to a club to get football and play in a good team.’

Bowditch shouldn’t find it too hard to settle at the Causeway with Town player Aiden Collins also currently on loan at the Herts club and former Ipswich youth Matt Bloomfield a regular in the side
