Billy Sharp is being pursued by Premier League side Wigan and another Ipswich target Eoin Doyle is Scotland-bound.

The national papers have cranked up the story about Sharp going to Wigan, with Hull City alos joining the list of clubs interested in the £3m striker, along with Cardiff, Burnely, Southampton and Ipswich.

Sharp revealed after scoring twice against Town that he had rejected the chance to join the Blues, and the Saints, last summer saying he didn’t feel it was the right time to move then.

And the Scottish press seem convinced that
Ipswch are interested in Sligo Rovers hot-shot Doyle.

The 23-year-old free agent has had talks with Hibs but Aberdeen are also keen, along with Ipswich.

The Dubliner has banged in 25 goals for Rovers who were runners-up in the League of Ireland Premier Division and won the FAI Cup for the second year in succession.
