We will be wearing Mitre produced replica kit for awhile yet after the sportwear company and the Blues announced a two-year extension to their partnership.

It means the the British sports brand will continue to supply Ipswich with its home and away kits as well as bench and training gear until the end of the 2013/2014 season.

Mitre, established in 1817, has a strong footballing heritage, providing match balls for the Football League, Scottish Premier League and Carling Cup as well as a range of high quality footwear and accessories.

Simon Clegg, Ipswich Town`s Chief Executive told itfc.co.uk: “I have been impressed with the quality of Mitre`s products and their experience in the design and manufacture of sports wear is second to none.

‘I am pleased that we have concluded a deal which will see a consolidation of the strong partnership that has built up between Mitre and the football club and the continued presence of the sports wear`s brand on our shirts.”

Mitre Managing Director Gary Hibbert said, “We`re delighted to have extended our partnership for a further two years with Ipswich Town after a successful four years.

‘Ipswich is the perfect partner for Mitre, steeped in heritage, with a history that includes an FA Cup win, a UEFA Cup victory and a top five Premiership finish.

‘We are fully committed to continuing to provide the club and their supporters with the very best designs and the highest quality products.’
