Abysmal Blues In Dire Draw

Although Ipswich came back with a better second half showing to earn a draw it does not disguise the fact this was a dreaful display.

The Blues were truly awaful in the opening 45 minutes, no shots on goal at all, and not a corner won, and were fortunate to only be one goal behind.

The Posh goal was scored by Lee Tomlin who took a Joe Newell pass and as Danny Higginbotham and Aaron Cresswell followed Saido Berihno’s run, the striker came back inside and beat the hapless Stephen Henderson.

The on loan West Ham keeper looked nervous and out of position throughout the first half but made a couple of saves in the second, even if theyr were hit at him.

Lee Martin won a penalty in the second half when he went over a leg left dangling by Tomlin.

DJ Campbell tucked away his fifth for Town from the spot with awell-struck penalty.

Both sides had chances to win it but the league tabel does not lie and on this showing both deserve to be bottom.
