Fans’ favourite Jimmy Bullard has had a bust-up with Paul Jewell according to Ipswich correspondent Mel Henderson in the Daily Mail.

Club insiders have told Mel that the manager and top-paid player, reportedly on anything between £18,000 and £25,000, that Jewell wants Bullard to move from his home in Cobham in Surrey to somewhere nearer Portman Road, something Roy Keane insisted players did as well.

And it is understood other members of the squad are unhappy at his Jack-the-Lad attitude.

According to the Mail the source said: ‘Jimmy has been bragging about his wages and some of the players are unimpressed by this, as well as his attitude when he larks about in training.

‘The gaffer has told him he is unlikely to play if he doesn`t make the effort to move into the area.’

Since negotiating a new deal, directly with owner Marcus Evcans, Bullard’s form has been patchy at best.

He was axed from the starting line-up and left on the bench for Saturday`s home defeat by Watford, which was Ipswich’s seventh defeat on the spin, the worse run in 16 years.

The 33-year-old arrived on a free transfer in August after his old club Hull ended his £40,000-a-week contract over an alleged breach of discipline on a pre-season tour to Slovenia and Bullard is suing Hull for unfair dismissal.
