Walton To Return

Jim Magilton expects Simon Walton to return to Charlton when his loan deal expires in January.

Magilton said: ‘I’d like to keep Simon. He’s a very good young player and I have been impressed with what he has brought to the club.

‘But, although I’ve not spoken directly to Charlton, all the noises we are hearing say they want him back.

‘I can understand that given their predicament in the Premiership at the moment, so it looks as though he’ll be returning to them in January.’

Walton has performed well while at Portman road, scoring three times, but being dismissed in the away game at Derby.
