Instead of enjoying a goals bounty from Jordan Rhodes, who knows, he may have led us to promotion, Ipswich will get a sell on fee of around £800,000.

Town sold Rhodes to Huddersfield for an initial £350,000 with add-ons so his move to Blackburn will see them eventually get an additional £850,000 making their initial £5,000 investemnt in the player from Barnsley worth around £1.2m.

Roy Keane and Simon Clegg decided to sell Rhodes for a song so they could develop Connor Wickham, who they sold to Sunderand for £8m where he has flopped.

Although Marcus Evans has seen transfer money come in there is little evidence of it being put to good use by PJ.
