The sale of season tickets is up at Portman Road by nearly 1,000 as the start of the season fast approaches.
With the new season tickets already arriving at supporters doorsteps, good news for the club is that there is likely to be higher attendances at Portman Road next season.
Last season’s low figure of 13,946 was probably because of a disappointing 14th-placed finish the season before, coupled with spending no money last summer. By contrast, Ipswich’s summer spending is up to around £2.5 million and fans will be encouraged by the ambition the club has shown so far.
The current figure stands at around 14,930 but it is likely to increase as Town sign more players before the season kicks off against Preston on August 9th.
