Stevens Given Town Trial

Crawley Town defender Jamie Stevens is to report to Portman Road having been offered a trial by the club with a view to a permanent deal.

Stevens, who has been the subject of interest from Norwich and Palace, is primarily a central defender but can play at right-back position. Blue Square Premier outfit Crawlet have described interest in him as “intense”.

I would like to wish Stevens all the luck in the world in his attempt to impress under the meticulous eye of Jim Magilton. Not many triallists have been offered a deal at Portman Road, in fact I think that Sito was the last. Could Stevens be any different or is he just another Ian Miller?
