Joe Royle has today told Sito that he can leave the club, despite recently signing a contract until 2008.

Sito, a regular at the start of the season, has fallen out of favour of late, involved mainly as a sub.

Joe Royle told the official site: ‘Fabian has maintained good form through the season and we’re not in a position where we can afford to have two senior right-backs.

‘Chris Casement is now very much in the equation after the progress he has made this year so that has come into my thinking as well. I also need to trim the wage bill if we are to be in a position where I can bring in two or three new players in the summer.

‘Sito needs to be playing football week in, week out and we will do all we can to help him achieve that at another club.’

The pre season signing has been sent off on two occasions this season, one against Norwich at Portman Road, and has made a number of mistakes, including conceding a penalty away at Wolves.
