Gaffer Roy Keane was left to rue Ipswich’s missed chances to put the game to bed when a goal up against Leicester, and says the Blues have to be more lethal in front of goal if they want to progress up the league.

After David Norris’/Ryan McGivern’s 20 second opener for Town, Jack Colback and Gareth McAuley both had excellent chances to extend Ipswich’s lead, which probably would have been game, set and match to the visitors.

Keano believes a win would have been undeserved for either side, but reserved special praise for Town keeper Arran Lee-Barrett who made an excellent point blank save to deny Matty Fryatt: ‘A draw was probably about right but we are disappointed we didn’t get the win, although Arran did make the best save of the game.

‘We had chances before their equaliser but we’ve not been scoring enough goals all season and that was the case again today. We didn’t build on the early goal and that was disappointing.

‘Draws are not going to take us up the league very quickly but it’s a point that we got and we’ll take it and move on.’
