Ipswich Town ended the 2014-15 pre season campaign unbeaten, as new signing Balint Bajner found the net.

Having just signed professional terms with us having been impressive in training during a trial spell with the club, his early strike in the game was cancelled out by a 90th minute penalty which denied us the win, but we do end the pre season build up unbeaten which will be pleasing for manager Mick McCarthy.

For Bajner, it was his second goal for the club following on from his striker against Southend.

There would’ve been plenty of positives for the gaffer to take from the game, as we did create good chances, and although Orient had their fair share of opportunities aswell, for the most part we were in control and kept them quiet and really should’ve held on at the end.

With Jonathan Parr going down injured, and the severity of that not being known yet, one great positive was the continuing return of David McGoldrick who got more minutes under his belt following his knee injury and lengthy lay off.

Ipswich:

Gerken, Parr (Stewart 38), Chambers, Berra, Mings, Hewitt, Hyam (Wordsworth 73), Skuse (Bru 82), Tabb (Henshall 82), Bajner (McGoldrick 46, Marriott 87), Murphy (Nouble 73).

Subs not used:

Bialkowski, Clarke, Crowe.

Att: 2052.
