Striker Ronan Murray is to rejoin Ipswich Town having reportedly been recalled from his loan at Torquay United.

Town had included the option of a 24 hour recall after an initial month away on loan for Murray, who netted one goal in seven appearances with the League Two Gulls. The 19-year-old is set to be out-of-contract at the end of the season but has been offered a new deal at Portman Road.

Murray looks set to go straight into the squad for Town’s trip to Swansea City on Monday, with the youngster providing some much-needed backup for the Ipswich frontline after the Swans had snapped up Blues striker Tamas Priskin on loan in March. The Republic of Ireland U21 international will compete with Connor Wickham and ex-Swansea frontman Jason Scotland for a place at the Liberty Stadium.
