Amanda Peak, mother of the two boys killed in a car accident with Luke McCormick, says that a line should now be drawn under the Norris debacle.

Town midfielder Norris met Mrs Peak and her husband Phil on Monday morning, just over a week after the ex-Plymouth star caused outrage by celebrating with a handcuffs gesture to jailed former teammate McCormick, who killed their two boys. The Peak’s were incensed by his actions at the time.

However, after the couple met Norris, Amanda Peak has called for an end to the hate campaign by various tabloids: ‘It [the meeting] went well.

‘It is hard not to like somebody when they are a nice person, which he is. It has drawn a line under the incident with us and if it has with us, then it should with everybody else.

‘He just apologised for the upset that he had caused. It was nice to talk to him and I feel a lot better for it.’

Norris was targeted by Doncaster fans and players alike on Saturday, in the Blues 1-0 defeat.
