McCarthy Looking Upwards

The SuperBlues have their sights on a play off spot after salvaging 13 points from losing positions, which is the best record in the Championship.

Blues boss Mick McCarthy was in bullish mood after coming from behind to beat Huddersfield through goals from David McGoldrick and Daryl Murphy, while Dean Gerken saved a penalty to leave the Terriers in a pickle.

“People always remind you of the negative stats,” said McCarthy. “I get told ‘you`ve dropped more points from winning positions than anyone else`, but they neglect to say we`ve won more points than anyone from losing positions.

“We`ve come back and won on a number of occasions and that shows how good the team spirit is here. They are all good mates and that shows on the pitch.

“It`s all about how many points you end up with, not how you achieve them and when you achieve them.”
