Ipswich produced their second win in a row in some style away at Rotherham.
We hadn’t won a game for 7 matches and now it’s two impressive victories in a week. November looks like it might again be a good month to be a Town fan.
An early goal from the bright Brett Pitman and a rocket from hard working Jonathan Douglas gave the fans a great deal to cheer about in the early stages of the game.
Furthermore, after 27 goals last season, Daryl Murphy finally hit the net not once but three times! His extraordinary hat-trick was the 9th by a Town player this century. The last Town hat-trick was Conor Wickham back in 2011.
Rotherham scored two screamers out of the blue but the result was never really in doubt. The team had worked really hard and the confidence and the spark were visibly back.
Murphy is back on fire and so are Ipswich Town and the good news is that it’s only November – two thirds of the season is still left!
With three matches coming up on Sky shortly, let’s hope we can reverse the trend to under-perform on TV.
Our season has truly been set alight now and our loyalty is now finally being rewarded.
