It won’t come as any surprise to Town fans but the most expensive ticket to watch footbal in the Championship is sold by Ipswich.

The Blues, who are second bottom in the Championship charge a whopping £42.50 to sit in the Britannia.

Even if you get in for £22 on amatch day, it is still among the most expensive places to enjoy a game with the club charging £3.50 for a pie, £3 a programme and £2 for a cup of tea.

Huddersfield, who are enjoying a good first season back in the Championsip is the cheapest place to go see a game, and probably a home win, with the lowest-priced adult ticket a tenner with the cost of a programme, cup of tea and pie adding another £7.80 to a visit to the John Smith’s Stadium.

Only Sheffield United provide a cheaper matchday experience in the entire Football League.

The info comes from a BBC report, which is can only be hoped will shame Messrs Clegg, Evans and Jewell.
