Andy Drury has signed for Crawley Town after being released by Ipswich.

It is the second time the 29-year-old midfielder has been with Crawley after playing on loan for them during the 2011-12 season.

Crawley manager Richie Barker told their website: ‘What I like about Andy as much as anything is his versatility. He can play in either central midfield or in wide areas. He has terrific energy and can also weigh in with his share of goals.

‘He is coming here for the right reasons. He acquitted himself well in the Championship and wants to play at that level again.’

The Blues signed Drury from Luton in January 2011 and he made 30 appearances for us last season, mainly as a sub. He was adecent squad player witha good attitude but lacked pace and impact needed at this level.

He previously played for non-league clubs Stevenage, Lewes and Ebbsfleet but he could do well back at Crawley and we wish him luck.
