Welsh striker Rob Earnshaw has been highlighted as Nottingham Forest’s ‘Dangerman’ ahead of the upcoming fixture between Forest and Town.

Rob Earnshaw is a name that all Ipswich fans will be familiar with – the 27 year old striker had great success in a season at Norwich.

His career started out at local club Cardiff city, after moving to England from Zambia. His career got off to a flying start with goals flying in in his early seasons for Cardiff City. His reputation continued to grow and scouts from all of the ‘Big 4’ teams came to see him play.

However it was West Brom who made the move for him, sealing a £3m deal in 2004. Unfortunately, Earnshaw didn’t quite live up to expectations and after just 14 goals in 2 seasons, Norwich stepped in for him.
He enjoyed a period of success in the 18 months he spent at Norwich, scoring 27 goals in 45 appearances.

A move to the Premiership briefly stalled his career. Just one goal in an entire season for Derby meant he was no longer considered an exciting prospect. Nottingham Forest thought otherwise though, spending £2.65m on him at the beginning of the season. His 11 goals already so far this term seem to justify that fee, although only 6 of them have come in the league.

Earnshaw doesn’t pose a massive aerial threat – it’s his pace and agility that worry defenders. He definately has the ability to cause problems for Ipswich tommorow, but how will he cope with a return to Portman Road?
