Dangerman – Marcus Tudgay

Striker Marcus Tudgay has been highlighted as the ‘Dangerman’ for Town’s upcoming game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Tudgay started his career at Derby County, where he made 92 appearances, netting 17 times. However, a poor goals to game ratio made him fall out of favour at Pride Park, so Sheffield Wednesday stepped in to pick the 25 year old up on loan.

Whilst he was officially on loan, he played 1 match, scoring in it, before he was signed on a permanent basis at the beginning of the 2006 season. Since then he’s gone on to score 29 goals for the club, albeit in 121 appearances.

His 2008/2009 season has been very successful so far however, with the 6 foot striker scoring 7 times already for the struggling side.

Tudgay has his physical presence, as well as a quick turn of pace as his main weapons in attack, but struggles to take all the chances that are given to him. A problem that is close to all Ipswich fans hearts!

There is a chance that Tudgay may not make the team tommorow, or start from the bench, as he is returning from injury. However, should he make an appearance his impact on the game could well be crucial.
