Ipswich were looking good for a point at QPR before suffering a last minute hitch.

The had held off a determined QPR side until Tom Hitchcock, son of the former Chelsea keeper, snaffled a last gasp winner for the R’s.

Hitchcock, whose details were’t even on the squad list in the programme, pounced after Scott Loach saved from Charlie Austin to maintain Town’s miserable away record, one win all year.

Town survived when Austin – a £4million signing from Burnley – had hit the underside of the bar from six yards and Loach was busy enough.

The Blues had chances but were denied by Rob Green, who gave Town fans the ball after 90 minutes of good-natured banter, and Aaron Cresswell and Daryl Murphy was also thwarted by Richard Dunne.
